Verity Mod Crash Fixes: Loader, Version, and Shader Checks

Troubleshoot common Verity Minecraft crashes before deleting your modpack.

Crash before the title screen

Startup crashes usually mean Minecraft could not load a jar. Check the loader first. Fabric, Forge, and NeoForge are not interchangeable, and each one also has its own version line.

Crash after joining a world

If Minecraft opens but the world fails to load, remove shader packs and resource packs for one test launch. Visual packs can conflict with horror effects, custom lighting, fog, or screen overlays.

Missing dependency errors

Read the first dependency named in the crash report. Install that dependency for the same Minecraft version and loader as Verity Mod. Avoid grabbing a dependency jar from a different Minecraft patch just because the filename looks close.

Multiplayer mismatch

For multiplayer, the server and every client need the same compatible mod build. A client-only test that works in single-player can still fail when the server uses another Minecraft patch or loader.

Keep a rollback copy

Before updating Verity Mod inside a modpack, copy the working profile. If the new build crashes, you can compare old and new mod folders instead of rebuilding the pack from scratch.
